B-School admissions are based on majorly on six MBA entrance exams CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, CMAT and GMAT. Business schools are free to pick any of these test scores for admissions.
In 2013, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) replaced the Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) with the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) for admission into PGDM programs.
Though accepted by more than 5,000 business schools worldwide, only top few institutes accept GMAT scores in India.
