A Bachelors degree or B.Sc. is generally considered as an ordinary pass degree.
A regular B.Sc. degree takes three to four years for the candidate to complete. This is referring to a general degree.
B.Sc Hons means Bachelor of Science Honors. It takes four to five years for a person to complete B.Sc. Hons.
B.Sc Hons. is looked upon as an extraordinary degree.
B.Sc. Honors is considered to be more standard than the ordinary B.Sc. degree.
Another thing is that you can get a B.Sc. degree more easily than a B.Sc. Hons. degree.
One can also see that in order to get a job, a B.Sc. Honors degree is more beneficial than a B.Sc. degree. -
B.Sc. (Hons.) is much more specialised as compared to the B.Sc. (General) degree, and academically, B.Sc. (Hons) is a more standard degree as compared to B.Sc. (General).
If you want to study any one of the main sciences (eg. chemistry, physics, mathematics, etc.) in detail, it is advisable to go for a B.Sc. (Hons.) course. But if you want a more balanced and multi-disciplinary approach, it is better to pursue a B.Sc. (General) course for under-graduate studies.
Best of luck!
