What is the difference between B.Sc and engineering?

Dear Pavan, B.Tech is a professional degree/ course whereas B.Sc is not a professional course but it is a simple/regular degree. These days we have many branches available for B.Tech. Some of them are there for long like ECE, CSE, EE, Mech. , Civil, etc., but with the passage of time, the impact of technology has increased due to which many new branches have come up like Biotech, Food tech., Nanotech, Agri., Mechatronics, etc. In a similar manner, we have many different specializations available in B.Sc like Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Maths, etc. Other than these, you have specialised ones like Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Forensic, Agriculture, Food Technology, Computer Science, etc. Apart from these, you have honours courses too. Many reputed private universities are offering these courses so you can check the details of with some of the universities like Manipal, Lovely, Christ, Symbiosis, etc. Good luck.

In India, the Bachelor of Technology degree is a professional engineering undergraduate degree awarded after completion of four years of engineering study and research.
