What is the difference between B.Tech and B.Sc and which is a better choice and why?

B.Tech deals with more of engineering aspects, whereas B.Sc. Is more of research-oriented. Besides, B.Tech comprises more of a Maths in comparison to B.Sc. In terms of job prospects, student having B.Tech degree is more open to the various careers. On the other hand, B.Sc. Students are more adhere to the laboratory or teaching domain. Though B.Tech has more of its placements but even research has its own rewards in the form of monetary and success! All the best!

There is a very big difference between both. In this one deal with practical, calculation and theory and B.Sc deals with some calculations and theory, best choice depends on interest only.

Yes, there is a difference between them and rest depends upon your area of interest. It very much depends on what you want out of your life. First preference should always be given to your interest. If there is a particular field in Engineering that you have always wanted to pursue, then you should definitely pursue B.Tech. In case you are confused about the choices, then you have to make an informed decision. In case you are looking to prepare for UPSC Civil Service Examination, SSC Railway, SSC CGL Bank PO or Bank Clerical examination, then you should certainly go for Bachelor of Sciences. After you have taken admission in B.Sc. You should join a coaching for the preparation of these examinations and prepare alongside your college. In case you are looking for a technical job at the end of your degree, then you should certainly go for B.Tech. If you want almost an assured job then you should seek the degrees high in demand. Example - Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering. But you should be careful while choosing a college. Make the best available choice for the college in which you are going to pursue your engineering. Make sure you look at the placement statistics, college location, companies visiting the college, distance from your home and reputation of the college before zeroing in on your final decision. If you want to seek the best possible college for yourself, then you can prepare for JEE Main dropping one year after 12th. In case you are looking to prepare for Engineering Services (same rank as that of IAS then you should take up Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering. In case you are looking for PSUs/Government Engineering Jobs, then you should take up B.Tech and prepare alongside your college for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). The finances required for the two courses are very different from one another. If you are financially weak, you should look into doing B.Sc. And preparing for SSC CGL IBPS etc. Also, know that for an average/poor college for B.Tech, you arent likely to get any bank loans. If you happen to do B.Tech from an average college, make sure you don't end up spending Rs. 20 Lacs for it. Spend as minimum as possible. Private colleges in West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Uttarakhand are cheaper when compared to private colleges from other states. So choose an average college.
