    Dear Aman,
B.Tech is a graduation degree in engineering whereas M.Tech is a post-graduation degree. After B.Tech, you have to crack GATE in order to get admission in M.Tech.

B.Tech is a graduation degree in engineering and M.Tech is a post-graduation degree in engineering. B.Tech graduates are eligible for doing M.Tech. B.Tech is a generic degree in one branch of engineering e.g. electrical or civil engineering etc. M.Tech is generally a degree with specialisation. For example, Electrical engineering has specialisations such as power, instrumentation, embedded systems etc.
