Hello Ankush
I wouldn't say they're equivalent.
BE or B Eng is a Bachelor degree for Engineering (Engineer)
B Tech is for Bachelor of Technology (Technician)
B Eng which generally means more theory than a BTech degree. BTech on the other hand generally has less theory compared to a BEng and more practical skills (hands on) from in class examples/assignments than a BEng. This doesn't mean that a B Eng has no practical skills, they still have assignments and usually have capstone projects in their 4th/5th year to demonstrate and apply all the theory they have acquired over the years of study.
From what I have been told by my profs, B Eng...more -
Hi Ankush,
The B.E. program focuses more on the theoretical knowledge, like principles, equations, and procedures and so on, which are used to develop new equipment, machines and also new inventions in Science and Technology.
However, B Tech course is a more practical oriented program, which is an integration of engineering principles with technology. A B.Tech graduate concentrates more on how to improve the quality of an instrument by applying the latest technology.
Hope it helps. Please feel free to revert. Click on the thumbs up or mark it as the best, if you found this useful.
Wish You Luck!
