What is the difference between Biomedical and Biochemical?

Hi rani, Bio medicine and biochemistry are both concerned with the chemistry of life. Bio medicine seeks to solve human medical problems using tools from many fields, while biochemistry answers questions about chemical processes both in humans and other organisms. In aspects of engineering: Biomedical engineering is a specialization in engineering field and is one of the emerging and exhilarating branches of study. The field has got remarkable potential for research, development and career opportunities.The field is an integration of technical facts in medicine and biology to develop the life quality. This field acts as a bridge between life science and engineering which has significant roles in therapy, treatment and prevention. Eligibility:Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or chemical or biological engineering. Biochemists are scientists who seek to understand the chemical processes of life. They want to know what kinds of chemical reactions take place in living organisms, how those reactions and processes are regulated and controlled, and how these processes affect an organism's observable characteristics. Hi Rani, Both Bio-medical engineering and Biochemical engineering are the engineering disciplines and is related to the medical or biological field. Even though the two engineering disciplines deal in the same field, there are many differences between them. Key differentiation: 1. Bio-medical engineering is a specialization in engineering field that involves the study of several principles and technologies in engineering to the medicine field whereas Biochemical engineering is an allied field in chemical engineering which mainly involves with the design and manufacturing of unit methods that engages biological components. 2. The Bio-medical Engineering profession is concerned with the improvement and production of several medical equipment, prostheses, drugs, diagnostic devices and other treatments. The bio-medical engineers are the experts who are well trained to perform these tasks. The application of Biochemical Engineering field can be utilized in various areas such as food, pharmaceuticals, water treatments, and biotechnology industries. 3. Biochemical engineering applies the engineering principles and skills to plan, design and improve procedures and systems with the goal of manufacturing new products. The Bio-medical engineering profession will best suit for those who have a high passion to work in medicine and healthcare field.
