Medical Microbiology is better as comparison to BSc Microbiology in terms of career prospects and job openings. You will be posted in Central Labs of corporate hospitals.

Medical Microbiology may be better in terms of a job. The Corporate Hospitals carry on lab tests before diagnosing the patient and the present day trend is super specialisation in Medicine. The importance of a Microbiologist hence increases.
