What is the difference between CAT and MAT exam?

I am planning to appear for MAT exam. I want to pursue MBA.

    CAT is conducted by IIM and is a pathway to most of the top colleges of India while MAT is an exam for Tier 4 or Tier 5 colleges. MAT has GK section in exam while CAT does not have.
