    Chandigarh university is a top private university in Gharuan, Kharar, Mohali. Whereas Chandigarh Engineering College is in Landran. Among these, Chandigarh University is the better choice.

    Chandigarh University is private university with NAAC A+ graded accreditation and this university is best known for placements across various domains of study such as CSE whereas Chandigarh Engineering College is an affiliated college to Punjab Technical University (PTU).

    Chandigarh University is better to pursue the B.Tech CS because
    1. University with NAAC A+ Grade and committed to Quality Education.
    2. Hi Tech Labs are available at Chandigarh university
    3. Syllabus is well Designed
    4. Number of Clubs are available to upgrade the skills of Students
    5. 360 degree Grooming of the Students.

    These both are the same protocol based institutions but there is a slight difference of the degrees provided by them. CGC’s degree is provided by PU whereas CU provides its own degree.

    Chandigarh University (CU) has set a new record as one of India's top IT Company Wipro selecting a record number of 394 students in 2018-19 which happens to be the highest in India, While the other global giants IBM, Mindtree and Capgemini recruiting 196, 101 and 207 students during campus placements which is the highest selection made by the companies in North India. The placement session 2018-19 has been a dream-run for students of Chandigarh University, with more than 627 Top MNC's on campus made 6314 offers with Rs. 31.77 LPA being the highest package offered. , Recently 45 LPA package was offered for BE CSE.

    The biggest difference is that Chandigarh University got A+ Grade from NAAC due to its quality education system. CU is working hard on its students. They are providing many opportunities. For B.Tech also they have good placements as they have tie-ups with many big brands. Their students got great salary packages.

    Both are private colleges Chandigarh Engineering College is affiliated to IK Gujaral Punjab Technical University. I will prefer you to go for Chandigarh University as it have better infrastructure and facilities. I think CU have much better placements then Chandigarh Engineering College.
