    Computer Science engineers are involved in many aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers and supercomputers to circuit designing and writing software that powers them.
    Information Technology deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to store, protect process, transmit and securely retrieve data. IT professionals perform a variety of tasks that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases.

    Abhi, Computer Science course covers almost all theoretical areas in information and computation. The course will enable the students to enter in to the Software Application, service, Sales and Marketing, operations and even work as a programmer.
    Information technology mainly focuses on the study of the use of computers and telecommunications to recover, store and transfer information. This can be in various forms like text, images, sound, multimedia, etc. The B.Tech Information Technology covers mainly three fields like namely network administration, computer maintenance and programming.

    As per my knowledge, there is not much difference. CSE may or may not include minor hardware part in the curriculum but major part is software. IT is all software.
