What is the difference between computer science engineering and information technology engineering?

Hello Vishal, While CSE, equally covers both hardware and software aspects. IT and software engineering has a lesser focus on the hardware aspect. However, this difference hardly matters as universities frequently keep updating the syllabus for each branch. Unless and until, you get a job in a hardware manufacturing company like Intel, Logitech, etc., this little difference in the syllabus hardly matters. Most of the jobs offered is in the software domain. There is no need to compare the little differences between the branches. You can get admission in a decent college in any of these branches. You should keep a percentage of over 70 without any backlogs and have a great start for your future. All the best.

Both the streams have equal curriculum, but computer science is highly preferred in foreign universities. Computer science involves everything from software to hardware and good knowledge of electronics.
