What is the difference between CS and IT branch?

    Hi Sakshi,
    From academic perspective the coursework of CS and IT are almost identical. Although subjects involving very deep theoretical computer science concepts are usually not taught to IT students. For example CS students have a course in Artificial Intelligence while IT have a course in e-commerce in its place.
    Apart from the academic perspective, the placements are almost the same for the CS and the IT students
