What is the difference between Deemed University and Private University.could you pls let me know.Iam in search of universities for phd.

what do you mean by Deemed Universities.Iam in search of the universities for Phd in this regard is it preferable to go for ugc recognised universities only or we can also go for deemed univs.Is there any difference in value for the certificate.Pls let me know
