The primary distinction between a B.Tech and a Polytechnic engineering course is that a B.Tech is a degree programme, whereas a Polytechnic is an engineering Diploma programme. A Polytechnic course can be started after 10th grade or completed after 12th grade. However, one cannot pursue a B.Tech degree after completing 12th grade with Physics Chemistry and math as required subjects. A Polytechnic course from ITM will last at least three years.
