What is the difference between ECE and EEE?

Hello Dear,
These two branches have quite some differences.
EEE is mostly oriented towards electrical engineering and encompasses electronics only as much required. The course includes Power systems,Microcontrollers, electrical circuits, (Resistive, Inductive, Capacitive), Switch gears, Signal processing. EEE is all about the big or macro electrical products you see around yourself, such as House wiring, transformers, Power substations.
Whereas, ECE or Electronics and Communications provides attention to the micro or less seen aspects such as diodes, transistors, Integrated Circuits, micro chips, Chip designing and architecture etc. It is...more
