ECE: Here, aspirants deal with Electronics with some part of communication. The subject uses the scientific knowledge of the behaviour and effects of electrons to develop devices, systems, or equipment that uses electricity as part of its driving force. Also it contains basics on electrical machines and more on integrated circuits and communication systems. CSE are involved in many aspects of computing, from the design of individual microprocessors, personal computers and supercomputers to circuit designing and writing software that powers them.
IT: Information Technology deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software

The difference between EC and IT is that in IT, you will get knowledge of computer software, programming languages and many more things also you have the knowledge about electronic devices. But in EC, you will have complete knowledge about electronic devices and gadgets and little bit knowledge about programming. You must opt for IT which is much better.
