    Electronic and Communications engineering and Computer Science Engineering are two very different branches
    In ECE a student is desired to develop competence in areas like Signal Processing, Communication systems, VLSI Design, Embedded systems etc.
    Where as a computer science engineer is desired to develop competence in areas like Programming, Database Management Systems, Networks and Security, Operating Systems, Cloud Computing .
    Some IT/CSE companies are known to hire ECE grads for role of a cse engineer.
    For a b.tech degree you must go for gov college like IIT, NIT or premier Institutes Like BITS, Lovely Professional University, SRM et

    ECE deals with basics of Electronics and specialize your in the field of Telecommunication. Subjects of Telecom extends from basic telephony to GSM to 4G. It also includes Radar and Satellite communication courses also. CSE deals with theory of Computation Science and Technology. It will help you become a systems or applications software engineer.
