What is the difference between fashion designing (B.Des) and fashion technology (B.FTech)?

    Key differences between B. Des (Fashion Design) and B.Tech in Textile Technology B. Des (Fashion Design) is a design course which completely focuses on the design aspects. Candidates who have passed plus two in any stream can join this course.

    B.Des is about designing and B.FTech is about manufacturing. In B. Des you have options:
    Accessories Design. Textile Design
    Fashion Communication
    Knitwear Design
    Fashion Design
    Leather Design. The first year, which consists of Foundation, is the same for everyone. Foundation consists of a syllabus which covers the basics of each department. But for the rest of the three years, students study one core field in their respective departments. Whereas in B.FTech there are no such departments. Students study apparel manufacturing, execution techniques and various other fields related to it. Also, having a PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) group in

    Hey,
    The terms are suggestive enough. FD focuses on the designing part of the garment and F.Tech focuses on the production of the garment on a larger scale and has hardly any relation to the designing part whatsoever.
