    Hi,
Cosmetology is an area of study and a career that focuses on hair, skin, and nails. Cosmetologists can do both hair and nails, or focus their careers in one area.
Fellowship is a practical research programme which is offered by selected institutes to help students experience the concepts and procedure of cosmetology practices. Fellowships can either be paid or voluntary.
Diploma is a more acceptable and available theoretically oriented trainning in cosmetology which offers placements after completion of the programme. Diploma doesn't have practical exposure (internship).
I hope it helps. Please feel free to revert.
    Wish you luck.

An associate degree, like Diploma, will typically fulfill any state requirements for cosmetology education. Unlike Diploma, which only includes cosmetology-focused courses, an associate degree curriculum also requires general education courses.
