What is the difference between finance and financial services?

I don't think that there is any significant difference. The services in financial services could imply a customer-oriented function, such as banking, while "non-services" businesses could be more trading-oriented. That's a bit of a stretch, though. Financial services are the economic services provided by the finance industry, which encompasses a broad range of businesses that manage money, including credit unions, banks, credit-card companies, insurance companies, accountancy companies, consumer-finance companies, stock brokerages, and investment funds, individual.
