What is the difference between Graphic design and Web design?

Hi, Graphic design includes logos and print design. Graphic Design includes anything which is created and printed (or displayed as part of a layout). It includes ads, magazines, newspaper layouts, newspaper ads, billboards, logos, brochures, books, decals you find on toys, CD labels & booklets, movie posters etc. It encompasses all things in the print world. Whereas, web design overlaps graphic design in the graphics and overall appearance (layout) and flow of the site/pages. Web design partially overlaps web engineering in the broader scope of web development. Single color images saved as JPEGs may appear fuzzy. When you save a graphic image, consider what type of file it is. Remember, GIFs work best with images having few colors or color variations. Shubhangi, Knowledge of Graphic Designing is a must to do good Web Designing, so in that perspective, Web Designing is a step forward. Additionally, a lot of Web Designing Projects usually revolve around work coming from abroad, hence the salaries usually would be better. Web Design course at Arena is 6 months of fast track and 12 months on normal track. The course is called GWD. Alternatively you can go for AAIP on fast track and finish within 2 years. Then you'll be equipped for Web Design (depending on centre policy, e.g. at chandigarh arena we offer dreamweaver alongside aaip), animation, vfx, graphic design. etc at the end of this period. This would ensure that you're ready for web design (the career you're looking at right now) as well as many more career options that the future holds for the design fraternity.
