What is the difference between Hospital Administration and Healthcare Management courses?

<p>Hi, Both seems to be quite similar but they're not similar at all. Both are different in terms of the approach and output as well.</p><p>In hospital management, one is recruited as a management trainee initially and later move up the ladder to reach to hospital administrator. It does not require any field work and one has to work mostly in the boundaries of hospital only. After MBA in hospital, one has the field to move to operations, marketing and other various departments.</p><p>In health management, one is recruited at different posts like health coordinator, health consultant and even researcher also conducting primary research in field. These professional are required by some top organization of this country such as NRHM of state government, PFI (Population foundation of India) and by many other government institutes as health coordinator.</p><p>You can decide what interests you more and pay off will be good in both as the sector itself is doing well currently.</p>
