What is the difference between interior designing with B.Arch and B.Des?

Key differences between B.Arch in Interior Design and B.Des in Interior Design. B.Arch in Interior Design is an engineering course having a duration of five years. Candidates who have passed plus two with the subjects Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry can only join this course. B. Des in Interior Design is a four-year course which focuses only on the interior designing of the building. Candidates who have passed plus two in any stream can join this course. Even though the candidates who have passed any of these courses work on the same field, job profiles and salary packages are different for B.Arch graduates and B. Des graduates. For joining B.Arch course, one should possess NATA score. Therefore candidates who wish to join the B.Arch course should have exceptional aptitude skills.

Bachelor of Architecture, B.Arch is a five-year graduate programme in Architecture, design, and structure of building covering the sociological, systematic and environmental aspects. The course seeks the students having skills like drawing, writing, exploration of the given topic, practical and managerial ability in identifying and solving problems and architectural presentation etc. The subjects for the Bachelor of Architecture include Mathematics, CADD, Urban Economics and Sociology History of Architecture and Interior Design etc. Advantages or Benefits of B.Arch - Architecture is a profession for the people who have talents in artistic and aesthetic. - There is always a demand for good architects so as to utilize the entire construction space in building projects. - In the present scenario, architects are essential to plan and carry out building projects and to find a solution for the problems related to this field. - Building projects and real estate is one of the largest sectors of investment in our economy; hence the profession is also getting recognition and further career opportunities. Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch The minimum qualification required for applying in a B.Arch course is plus two with 55% in the board examination. The students should study Mathematics (Important) in their 10+2. To get admission for the B.Arch programme, the aspirants are required to take the Entrance examination conducted by the respective institutes. The students are allotted to different colleges based on their entrance exam scores. Interior Designing: Being an interior designer means you get to be creative in many ways. From the colors, you get to use, to the furniture you get to add. Work Schedule: Unless you work in a store, you can pretty much set your own hours. So fitting family time it isn't a problem. Nor is the grocery shopping, the gym, and the play dates. The design is a really vast field, thus you will have to be a judge about that on your own. What do I think? Do not stress and if you can bare too much of workload, then opt for B.Arch because that is the only subject that is beneficial out of the three courses you named. It includes both designing and Interiors, so you will be at the advantage, but it is a five years course and lengthy. If you are good with other subjects and are confident in only interior or design, then go for the others.
