Computer Science (CS) is a core branch: In this, you will get knowledge of various programming languages in details. IT: In this, you will have some subjects of CS, but not in detail.

If you are interested in programming, then computer science is the right path. For anything else, like networking, business oriented etc. it all relates to Information Technology.
