What is the difference between IT and computer science and engineering?

    It varies from college to college. I am a computer science student and the only difference I know is, IT deals with only software part but computer science deals with both, hardware and software, i.e. some subjects are not covered in IT(e.g.: micro-processor and micro-controller).
