JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is the entrance exam for admission in IITs and NITs for graduation level. GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test For Engineers) is the test for pursuing post-graduation in IIT and for jobs in the field of engineering in a government sector.

No, for GATE you need to do B.Tech/BE. Non- engineering graduates are not eligible for GATE.

There is a lot of difference between JEE and GATE. JEE is an exam conducted to get entrance to any engineering college whereas GATE is an exam conducted for entrance in PSU, or for M.Tech.

Hello Aman, JEE is an entrance examination for 12th pass students to pursue engineering in IITs. GATE is an entrance examination for post graduation in top level engineering college like IITs. I hope you understand.
