M.tech is more specific to engineering and will make you an expert in a particular area. There are companies who look for core Mtech graduates for work in industries. The salaries might not be very alluring but the growth pattern is good and steady . MBA is inclined towards the management side. This involves the study of marketing, finance, HR etc which are used for business development. Salaries will be comparatively high if you are graduating from a premium B school . If not then the salaries are average. You have to chose your area of interest and go ahead.

M.tech belongs to core engineering while Mba is a management program and not related to your B.Tech. If you go for M.Tech than you will improve your engineering skills and also eligible to teach in engineering colleges. If you go for MBA it will be additional degree which will help to get promoted.
