What is the difference between MBA and PGDM? Can I do PhD after PGDM?

The main reason why postgraduate courses are named as PGDM is because when an Institute is an autonomous body (meaning it is not affiliated to any University) and conducts management courses then such Institutes cannot offer MBA degree. Even IIMs, XLRIs doesnt offer MBA degrees they only give PGP Diploma or PGDM since they are autonomous and independent bodies.
institutes affiliated to any universities van offer MBA .
yes ,you can go for PhD after pgdm because it is AICTE approved. -

8 years agoYou can go for PhD after PGDM, provided your PGDM is equivalent to MBA as regulated and approved by AIU. -
A Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is a degree course offered by the colleges affiliated to the universities while the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a diploma course offered by the institutes that are recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Both are equivalent. And IIM'S also gives PGDM not MBA degree.
Yes you can do Phd after PGDM if itd AICTE approved and AIU equivalent. -
