Hiy, MBA is given by Universities. For eg. the MBA given by ISME is in association with the University of Mysore. Some government jobs ask for an MBA, also if you want to get in to teaching in universities, they ask for an MBA. Corporate however prefer PGDM, as the course evolves more frequently to suit changing industry needs.

    Hello Saimurali,
There is no difference between MBA & PGDM, Even IIM will give you PGDM not MBA degree, Issuing MBA degree: only universities have the authority. So there is no difference , all the subjects and syllabus are same, the way they taught and the way a PGDM college will taught is same. Both will be treated equally so there is no difference btwn the two.
