Hello, A PGDM certificate is given by a college affiliated to the AICTE whereas an MBA is given only by an independent University. Both are considered as equivalent in India; what matters more is from where are you pursuing it. For example, a PGDM from an esteemed B-school is any day more valuable

Today MBA degree and diploma are equivalent and there is no difference between the two but in some companies MBA degree is given more preference than PGDM diploma. So, better is to go for degree.
