What is the difference between MBA and PGDM? What is the scope of MBA and PGDM?

Hello,
A PGDM certificate is given by a college affiliated to the AICTE whereas an MBA is given only by an independent University. Both are considered as equivalent in India; what matters more is from where are you pursuing it. For example, a PGDM from an esteemed B-school is any day more valuable

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) or Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) are both management courses at Masters level. Both the courses have a commercial orientation and its difficult to differentiate between the two.

Today MBA degree and diploma are equivalent and there is no difference between the two but in some companies MBA degree is given more preference than PGDM diploma. So, better is to go for degree.
