There is no difference between the entrance exam for MBA and PGDM. CAT/XAT/SNAP and other entrance exams are there for MBA/PGDM.
MBA colleges are affiliated to a university, whereas PGDM is offered by autonomous institutes. IIMs also offer PGDM degree. Check the below link for MBA colleges-

MBA is a degree course and PGDM is a post graduate diploma. Many universities offer only PGDM, but MBA degree has more value. Previously, IIMs also used to offer PGDM, but now as per trend they are also offering MBA degree. Although PGDM and MBA are equivalent, but MBA has more value.
