What is the difference between MBA and PGPM? Which one is better?

Simply put, Masters in Business Administration or MBA is a degree course offered by the Universities (both Government and Private) and Colleges affiliated to these Universities. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a Diploma programme offered by B-schools/Colleges that are recognised by Government of India's nodal body for technical education - All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Now one must understand that there are Business Schools which are good for MBA and there are Business Schools which are good for PGDM also. Its not appropriate to decide which course is better. 5 years agoMBA is a degree which has to be offered by a university that has to be UGC or AIU certified. No autonomous institute can offer an MBA. It is similar to PGDM, the only difference is that in MBA the syllabus is quite monotonous and doesn't change. The syllabus is not dynamic or industry oriented. The same syllabus goes on year after year whereas PGDM is offered by Institutes certified by AICTE.
