    MSc in IT and MCA are courses in the field of Science and Technology. They are different in some aspects which are mentioned in the table below:

    Full-Form: Master of Science in Information Technology

    Full-Form: Master of Computer Application

    Eligibility: BCA or similar courses

    Eligibility: BSc in IT or engineering degree

    MSc in IT is usually preferred by candidates who wish to pursue a career in academia

    MCA is usually preferred by candidates who wish to join the tech field.

    MCA programme AIMS to groom the software skills and strengthen the computer application of student. It prepares the student to flourish in the corporate IT sector. MCA is more focused on implementing programming languages, IT skills. M.Sc. IT is designed to make students technically competent in theory IT, applications and research related aspects. The programme AIMS to make students eligible for IT industry as well as research programmes. MCA is a 3 years programme and M.Sc. IT is a 2 year programme.
