    Both are related to each other, but there is a little difference. I will try to give you some basic idea.
    Mechanical engineers focus more on product development and work to design and manufacture new products for customers. Whereas, Production engineers focus more on making manufacturing more resourceful. Product engineers work on the products and process designed by mechanical engineers.
