What is the difference between mechanical engineering, automobile engineering & production engineering?

Mechanical engineering is the core branch as I am a chemical engineer, and production engineering is a branch of mechanical and chemical engineering. After completing mechanical engineering, you can go in the automobile and production as well, but with the automobile, your field gets narrowed but if
