MMS is masters in management studies and another nomenclature for MBA programme. Somebody has provided incorrect information. In abroad, the system is to call a degree as a graduate programme and an undergraduate programme. in countries like USA, Canada and Australia, usually the degree is of 4 years and India's 3 years degree is acceptable only with an additional 1 yearPG diploma or degree. The PG degree is usually obtained after work experience and of 1 year duration. Considering this, your degree (MMS) is valid for higher education as well as Visa and Job -
Dear Diksha,
Yes MMS is equally valid as MBA, in many universities including top universities like Mumbai University is having MMS and not offering MBA.
From my international experience, MMS from an authorised universities are very much valid and considered as good as MBA in all over international corporates.
Hope it was of help,
Wish you the best.
Arun.
