Hi, MBA stands for Masters of Business Administration while MMS stands for Masters in Management Studies. Other than that I don't think there is a lot of difference in Indian context, as there are hardly any institutes in India offering MBA degree. Most institutes offer MMS (Mumbai University), PGDM
