PGDM is a diploma course whereas MMS is a Masters course. The syllabus is slightly different, PGDM gives you more practical learning. Students prefer whatever suits them the most, if you do really well in your CET, I'd suggest you to do MMS as you're going to save a considerable amount of fees, it won't be very hectic and the placements are the same. If you couldn't make it to MMS, you must go for PGDM.
