PGDM is a diploma course whereas MMS is a Masters course. The syllabus is slightly different, PGDM gives you more practical learning. PGDM is governed by the college and MMS is a university governed course, Mumbai University to be precise. The selection for PGDM is done on the basis of your Group Discussion, Personal Interview and the least priority is for your marks whereas MMS selection is solely on the basis of your CET scores. At the end of the course, students of both the courses sit for their placements together. Last but not the least, there is a considerable difference in the fees of both the courses, MMS is cheaper.

PGDM is a course in which the curriculum is maintained by college.
MMS is a Mumbai university based course and syllabus is maintained by the university themselves.
So, PGDM syllabus gets updated every year according to the industry requirements.
But, this year even the MMS syllabus got updated and we have a fairly new syllabus from this year onwards.
Placement wise both PGDM as well as MMS people get an equal opportunity to sit for the summer internship and final placements.
    Good luck.
