    Each of these programmes deals with management and business administration concepts. While the nomenclature varies from programme to programme, the core subjects and curriculum remain the same.

    The major difference between these programmes is that while MMS and MBA are degree programmes, PGDM or Post Graduate Diploma in Management is a Diploma programme. The MMS and MBA programmes are offered by universities and are affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC). On the other hand,  PGDM is offered by private or autonomous institutes which are generally affiliated with the All India Centre
