Hi,
MS in Computers is used as a term for Masters in countries abroad and it stands for the same as M.Sc in India. Both are done after B.Sc or B.tech to enter in research, education and innovation and duration is 2 years.MCA is more of application based course in Computers with 3 years duration. An MCA degree holder will have great job opportunities in top level IT companies and consultancy firms. A person with MCA can become Software Programmer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, Systems Analyst, Software Application Architect, and Software Consultant. -
It is my personal opinion that, MCA is better than MS because MCA graduates get a lot of opportunities in private sector as well as in the government sector. They can work in information technology and software field but whereas MS is restricted to the branch you choose. And, MS in IT is a good branch, but I think MCA as a better one as it is more practical study.
