    Open learning is provided without any preliminary qualification and experience. Whereas distance learning is mode of providing programs credit based through distance learning, study material, online or correspondence, etc.
    In open learning credits are not given, that means non-credit based system and offer no diploma or degree.
    Open learning programs is based on your age criteria and not required any prerequisite qualification it is just for the professional development.
    Even though open learning is purely non-credit based system, many Institutes and universities in India offer open learning programs that too at degree level. For Example
