Generally a PG Diploma course is conducted by institute ,where as a Masters ( MMS/MBA) course is approved by the UGC & the university awards the degree which is well recognised across all pvt & public institutions
In a PGD course the institute has the liberty to decide/change the curriculum & admission procedure where as in an MBA/MMS this freedom is not given to the institute.
given a choice one should prefer pursuing a MBA/MMS as compared to a PG Diploma.

The Masters degree will be highly recognised because it is granted by a university under the UGC.
