MBA and PGDM programs are similar to each other. Universities and colleges affiliated to universities which award MBA management degree follow syllabus approved by University. Syllabus doesn't have flexibility for educational changes to align with industry requirements as approval process are long and bureaucratic in universities. B-Schools which are independent and award PGDM have liberty to modify their syllabus to align with industry requirements easily. Some PGDM degrees awarded by Institutes such as IIM, MDI etc. have more value in comparison to MBAs.
