What is the difference between PGDM and MBA?

5 years agoThere is hardly any difference between PGDM and MBA. It is almost the same except for the fact if you want to do Ph.D from abroad. In case of MBA, you can immediately go for Ph.D after completing your post-graduation, but in case of PGDM, you need to have work experience of 2 years after your post-graduation before you can apply for Ph.D abroad. -

5 years agoMBA is a degree which has to be offered by a university that has to be UGC or AIU certified. No autonomous institute can offer an MBA. It is similar to PGDM, the only difference is that in MBA the syllabus is quite monotonous and doesn't change. The syllabus is not dynamic or industry oriented. The same syllabus goes on year after year whereas PGDM is offered by Institutes certified by AICTE. PGDM is more industry oriented and the syllabus changes according to the demand of industry. 5 years agoIn PGDM, you will get choose your specialization in the 2nd year and in the first year you will have to study all the subjects of all the domains. In MBA in first year only you have to choose your specialization and you have to go into one field from the beginning.
