What is the difference between PGPM, PGDM and MBA and which is the best course among all three?

Hi Junaid,I am not sure about the exact difference but I do have heard that doing an MBA is a sound and beneficial decision. There are many MBA schools today offering a collaborative course curriculum. The MBA college/school about which I have heard nice reviews is LM Thapar School of management. Their MBA is also good and they hold placements as well. Their campus life and ambience is comforting and student friendly. PGPM – a course offered by institutions that is not accredited by any official body. It is usually 1 year long. You will receive a certificate from the institution that says you have completed the course and the disadvantage is that it’s not often recognized by companies or other education institutes. So without a proper graduate degree, you might not be able to pursue higher studies (Ph.D.). PGDM – an AICTE accredited course offered by institutions that aren’t affiliated to universities. The advantage they have is that the best PGDM colleges are those which will continually update their PGDM curriculum to be in step with the current industry scene. After 2 years, you will hold a diploma that is recognized and will be able to get a specialized job position or continue higher studies. MBA – a standardized, UGC accredited degree program. 2 years long, it will involve a dissertation project and will generally provide placements. While it is highly recognized in India and overseas and you will be able to climb corporate ladders with an MBA, there is a disadvantage. Since it is standardized, the curriculum often lags behind the current industry scene. As to the best course, it depends on your level of work experience and if you intend to pursue further studies. An MBA guarantees your qualifications, while a PGDM gives you flexibility as well as credible knowledge.
