Hi Shalini,
If you are talking about Fellow programmes keeping in view the Management Institutes then PhD and Fellow programmes both are the same as in both are the doctorate degrees. However, if you are talking about Fellowship it is a kind of Scholarship provided to the Scholars who are doing the

As correctly said by Sameera/ Shams, there is a huge difference between the two modes of higher education. PhD is about attaining a doctorate degree where as Fellowship is about a grant or provision to pursue research while studying doctorate level education.

A phd program is the program you are enrolled in when you are studying to get your phd.
A fellowship is a research grant that you can get when you are in a phd or masters program. You have to submit a paper or abstract. or it could be a teaching grant - they pay you to teach under

P hD is a doctoral level University program, Fellowship(PDF) is Post Doctoral Fellowship granted by universities and research establishments for research work after your PhD, while fellowships can be offered to PhD Scholars also.
