What is the difference between plant fiber and fiber produced by the insect?
The fiber produced by the plants are carbohydrates while that of insect is protein.

Plant fiber in ordinary terms is called the vegetable fiber which is a strand of cellulose (It is represented by the organic bond btwn C-H-O showing the hydrogen bonds (dashes) within and between cellulose molecules. Some examples of these fibers are
cotton, jute, flax, ramie, sisal

plant fibre is made up of cellulose or lignin and is mainly either the phloem fibre or bast fibre ,can also have suberin basically to provide strength to the plant part or to make it impervious to water. insect fibre is proteinaceous and produced by the insect to form cocoons /web etc.

and silk is fiber product by insect!!!!
