What is the difference between SAT and IELTS?

SAT is a standardized test for Universities admission in US which tells Universities about the college readiness and students' critical thinking skills. IELTS is only taken by students in non english speaking countries. It tells colleges that a student is fluent in English and will be able to understand the course instructions etc. in the college.

The SAT is the scholastic aptitude test which tests your knowledge till high school level on various subjects. SAT 1 (English and Math) and SAT 2 (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, etc.). IELTS is an English proficiency test which tests your knowledge of the English language. Hope this answer helps.
