What is the difference between textile technology or textile design? What is the difference between them?

*Textile Technology Textile engineering is a branch of engineering where the principles of scientific techniques are utilized for manufacturing and development of several varieties of fabric. The main aim of this program is to design and control all aspects of textiles, its raw materials, and the finished product. There are many several processes of spinning and fabric-forming stages coupled with the complexities of the finishing and colouration processes to the production of wide range *Textile Design Textile design is essentially the process of creating designs for woven, knitted or printed fabrics or surface ornamented fabrics. Textile designers are involved with the production of these designs, which are used, sometimes repetitively, in clothing and interior decor items. The field encompasses the actual pattern making while supervising the production process. It is a process from the raw material into finished product. Fiber, yarn, and finishes are the key elements to be considered during the textile design procedure.

Difference between the two terms lies in their implementation and study course. "Textile technology" is more of a technical area wherein you get to study subjects of industrial development, manufacturing tools and strategies, the Science involved behind the textile manufacture and the related concepts in particular. When you study the scientific part of textile birth and emergence, you shall look up for the jobs in the same area ahead in your career probably as for the designation of a project lead or a textile analyst wherein your task shall be monitor quality and quantity of textile production and factors related to them. On the other hand, "textile design" is more broadly an on-field domain that asks you to bring your innovative mind out and carve different types of textiles into distinct forms, designs, colour patterns etc. Since the latter was more of a scientific field, this one is more of artistic field and shall help you fetch the related jobs in your near future demanding you to present you design, color patterns and combination and other relevant ideas to implement on already manufactured cloth.
